Listing rules

Short version: list real goods or real services, describe them honestly, price them yourself, deal directly with buyers. The rest below.

Welcome here

✓ Household goods, furniture, appliances, tools, electronics and more, described accurately and priced by the seller
✓ Local services for enquiry or booking, with an honest service area and a clear pricing basis - quote, hourly, POA or fixed
✓ New, used, refurbished or for-parts goods, with the condition clearly stated
✓ Private sellers and small businesses, provided each listing is a real item or a real service at a real price

Not allowed

✗ Asbestos-containing building materials
✗ Unsafe or recalled goods, including anything listed on the ACCC product safety recalls register
✗ Non-compliant child products - cots, prams, car seats and other restraints that do not meet the current Australian safety standard
✗ Firearms, weapons and ammunition
✗ Tobacco, vapes and e-cigarettes
✗ Prescription medicines
✗ Live animals
✗ Counterfeit goods
✗ Stolen goods, or anything you cannot lawfully sell
✗ Hazardous chemicals
✗ Items that need licensed installation - such as gas appliances - listed with an offer to install them without a licence
✗ Unlicensed trade services - electrical, plumbing, gas fitting and similar work may only be offered by a licensed tradesperson
✗ Misrepresenting a business account as a private seller

Listing quality

• State the item's actual condition - new, used, refurbished or for-parts - and describe any damage or defects honestly
• Use real photos of the actual item; no stock photos, AI-generated images, or photos taken from another listing
• One item per listing - list a bundle as a bundle, not as one item covering several
• Put the listing in the correct category and subcategory so buyers can actually find it
• Price it honestly - no bait pricing to generate enquiries for an item you will not sell at that price
• Do not pressure a buyer or seller to pay off-platform before you have agreed terms
• Services listings must state the real service area - do not claim coverage of a suburb or region you do not actually service

Moderation

Listings go live immediately and are reviewed after publication. Reported listings are checked first. A listing that breaks these rules is removed; a seller who repeatedly breaks them loses the account. Report anything that looks wrong with the report link on the listing - reports are anonymous to the seller.
